Amnesty: H.R. 454 (2007)

H.R. 454, the HRIFA Improvement Act, would expand the scope of HRIFA (an amnesty from 1998). It does so by granting amnesty to children over 21 whose parents applied for their children's amnesty when they were minors, by including document fraud among the grounds of inadmissibility which may be waived in granting amnesty to a Haitian national under HRIFA, and by allowing Haitians who were previously denied amnesty to file a motion to reopen their applications.
