What Arizona lawmakers did two weeks ago to address the state’s growing illegal alien population wasn’t only necessary, but was also just by exercising its sovereign right under the Constitution’s 10th Amendment. The bill promotes an attrition through enforcement strategy, which sets aside mass amnesties and deportations in favor of a more reasonable, rational strategy.

On the day before Gov. Jan Brewer of Arizona signed SB1070 into law, Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) called for a boycott of his own state. He opposes the new immigration enforcement law. The proposed boycott of Arizona is a cheap publicity stunt. It is counter-productive to the U.S. worker and it is completely illogical. I flew to Arizona today and spent $100 in Phoenix on Arizona made products. I feel good about it and might plan a family vacation to Scottsdale this summer.

Cairo, Egypt is a city of approximately 18 million people within the metropolitan area. That’s more than twice the population of New York City. Cairo is also a city of extreme pollution. It is said that living in Cairo is equivalent to smoking a pack of cigarettes a day, as the average resident ingests more than 20 times the acceptable level of air pollution a day. I can easily see how any city in the United States growing too fast is destined to suffer similar environmental concerns.

And among other reasons, because the administration -- this current administration has not done what's necessary to secure the border and enforce the law. We just saw the tragic death of a rancher down on the border, presumably from drug smugglers or illegal immigrants, that simply illustrates once again the fact that we have not controlled the border.
