iOS and Google Play Apps to Retire Early
Ahoy from the engineering staff here at NumbersUSA. An untimely mismatch of circumstances, personnel transitions, and technological advancement have created a scenario where our iOS and Google Play applications no longer sync well with content provided by the site and will soon be retired.
Pro-Amnesty Event on the National Mall Predictable, Unimpressive
Melanie and I joined two local groups in a counter-protest today near the Pro-amnesty “March for Dignity and Respect” on the closed National Mall. Then we headed down to the event organizers claimed would bring in tens of thousands of participants. Even with a top-name band playing – Los Tigres del Norte – they had a few thousand at best.

August Recess Town Hall Stories from NumbersUSA Activists
Today marks the 19th day of August Congressional Recess in which the open-borders forces were supposed to have been able to change enough Republican Representatives' minds to get a full-scale amnesty and doubling of legal immigration to the floor of the House. I'm pleased to say that thus far there has been almost no sign of changed minds thanks in good measure to NumbersUSA activists who have attended more than 200 town hall meetings. These are constituents seeing their own Congressman and not a case of busing people in from the outside or staging political theatre as the other side has done so often.
New RNC Policy Promotes Amnesty Over Attrition Through Enforcement
At its Summer meeting last week, the Republican National Committee rejected the Attrition Through Enforcement policy established in its 2012 National Platform in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens. Since illegal aliens would be legalized but denied citizenship, the RNC’s spin suggests the new policy would cause no harm. But the work permits offered to illegal aliens cause the greatest damage. And since most voters do not support this shift in policy, the RNC has likely harmed itself.

Pro-Amnesty Groups Demonstrate in Washington, D.C.
Pro-amnesty groups are holding a demonstration in Washington, D.C. today on the anniversary of the 2006 march, which brought out over 200,000 people. Organizers expect a much smaller crowd for today’s demonstration, which is dubbed the “Rally for Citizenship” or the "Time is Now Rally."

NumbersUSA activists provide insightful town hall feedback
This week, lawmakers went home to their districts for Congressional recess or “constituent work week.” Many NumbersUSA activists hit the road to attend town hall meetings across the country. They asked tough questions and provided us with unbeatable insight to where politicians stand on the latest Gang of Eight amnesty proposal.

The Congress may be out of session, but plenty of chances to make an impact at home in August
Today marks the start of the month-long recess in Congress. Things may be slowing down here in Washington, but around the country some lawmakers have a busy few weeks planned. August is prime time for town hall meetings. Everyday I send out alerts for town halls, mobile office hours, and campaign events. Little may be going on in Washington, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make an impact this month.
Rep. Ben Quayle Cosponsors Three Immigration Bills
Rep. Ben Quayle (R-Ariz.) has cosponsored three immigration bills from the list of bills that make up our "5 Great Immigration-Reduction Bills." Rep. Quayle has now cosponsored bills in 4 of our 5 categories only missing a bill to end the Visa Lottery. That bill, H.R.704 introduced by Rep. Bob Goodlatte, has already been approved by the House Judiciary Committee and can no longer add more cosponsors. Rep. Qualye serves on the Judiciary Committee and voted for H.R.704 during markup.
Webcast Shines Light on Wave of Bills That Will Hurt American Workers, Wages and College Graduates
This past week, three bills have been introduced by Senators from both sides of the aisle aimed at bringing more foreign STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) workers to the U.S. What the politicians and pundits are forgetting to mention is that there are eligible, U.S. workers out there to fill these jobs. I personally have friends who graduated this past week with engineering degrees and no job offers in sight.
Sen. Jeff Sessions Recognizes NumbersUSA in the Congressional Record
Former Ranking Member of the Senate Immigration Subcommittee, Senator Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), recognized the 15th anniversary of NumbersUSA on Monday by adding a statement to the Congressional Record. NumbersUSA was founded in 1996 by Roy Beck with the production and release of his original Gumballs video and the launching of NumbersUSA.com in December of 1996.
