This morning the House of Representatives passed HR. 565 - The AMIGOS Act. Rather than fixing the well-documented problems with the E-1 and E-2 visa programs, an unlimited amount of visas given to countries who enter 'free trade agreements' with the United States, HR 565 simply adds another country to these uncapped, unlimited programs with no consideration for the American workers they may impact.

Durbin used his objection to introduce new legislation, the RELIEF Act, which would substantially increase the number of green cards issued each year, including clear the existing backlog of employment-based green cards over five years.
The United States government identified hundreds of illegal border crossers falsely claiming familial status and numerous other migrant adults attempting to pose as minors. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the El Paso area have identified 238 fraudulent families, 50 adults falsely claiming to be minors, and have seized hundreds of documents attempting to support these migrants’ claims.
