Border Arrests Continue to Drop in July

The number of illegal immigrants arrested by Border Patrol at the United States-Mexico border fell 24 percent compared with June of this year, signaling that a migrant surge that's burdened federal resources and ignited partisan battles on Capitol Hill may continue to recede during the summer months. Border Patrol arrested roughly 71,999 illegal aliens in July of 2019, according to figures released Thursday by Customs and Border Protection. It is in America's best interest to share its impressive education system with international students, but not at the expense of our own citizens. There is something seriously wrong with our immigration policies when we have created a higher education framework where so many schools, especially small private ones, cannot survive without depending on financing from foreign students -- or where schools decide that making greater profits from admitting foreign students is worth displacing American ones.

Largest US Immigration Operation in a Decade Nets 680 Arrests

United States immigration officials raided numerous Mississippi food processing plants Wednesday, arresting 680 workers in what marked the largest workplace sting in at least a decade. As reported by USA Today, the raids were planned months ago, and the largest took place at a Koch Foods Inc. plant in Morton, 40 miles east of Jackson. Workers who were confirmed to have legal status were allowed to leave the plant. Other linked operations were executed in Bay Springs, Carthage, Canton, Pelahatchie, and Sebastapol Mississippi.

ACLU Sues Over Trump Expansion of Fast-Track Deportation Process

The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit on Monday over the Trump administration's expansion of a fast-track deportation process. The legal challenge comes after the Department of Homeland Security finalized a plan last month to bypass immigration courts and deport Illegal aliens who cannot prove they've been present continuously in the U.S. for two years or more.

Poll: Swing Voters Hugely Oppose 2020 Democrats Promising More Immigration

Swing voters — by a large majority — say they are unlikely to support 2020 presidential candidates who support more illegal and legal immigration to the United States, a new poll finds. As reported by Breitbart News, the latest Harvard/Harris Poll reveals that about 69 percent of swing voters said they are somewhat unlikely or very unlikely to support a 2020 presidential candidate that supports opening the U.S.-Mexico border to more illegal and legal immigration.
