H.R. 6175 would make aliens identified on the terror screening database inadmissible and place non-LPR aliens in expedited removal proceedings if on the terror watch list. The bill allows the removal/inadmissibility to be waived with unanimous concurrence of the Secretary of DHS, Attorney General, FBI Director, Director of National Intelligence, and Secretary of State. The bill would also remove asylum, withholding/cancellation of removal, voluntary departure, adjustment of status, and torture protection from terror watch list aliens and make them ineligible for any relief.

Leaked Memo: Refugee Fraud 'Easy to Commit,' 'Prevalent'

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, released an internal DHS memo they obtained saying the agency relaxed its requirements for refugees to prove who they are, which makes fraud “easy to commit” and hard to detect. In joint-panel testimony, ICE Director Sarah Saldana denied ever seeing the memo but the news could undermine the Administration’s push for more refugees from terror-producing countries.

A new authoritative study released by the National Academy of Sciences shows that mass immigration drives down annual wages by 5.2% for native-born workers who are in direct competition with immigrants for jobs while costing taxpayers around $299 billion in public services. The study found that the net economic benefit of mass immigration is around $55 billion but that money results from a $500 billion wage transfer from low-skilled workers to businesses.

Over 800 Illegal Aliens with Deportation Orders Were Granted Citizenship

DHS’ inspector general released an audit on Monday that showed that around 858 illegal aliens who had pending deportation orders were mistakenly granted citizenship. These illegal aliens, many of whom are from countries that pose national security concerns, were able to commit fraud since DHS did not have their fingerprints on file to check their identity.
