A few weeks ago as I was running to catch my ride home after a long day at the office, an old lady asked me for $5.00 to buy dinner. "$5.00 for something to eat? Please? I'm hungry." I was literally running as she asked me, and I told her, "I'm sorry, maybe next time." Then my conscience started eating at me. I kept hearing the words ringing in my ears, "For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat." I turned around, pulled $5.00 out of my pocket and ran back to find her, but she had gone.

51 Members of Congress join Rep. Brian Bilbray in Opposing Obama's E-Verify Postponement

Representative Brian Bilbray (R-Calif.) has sent a letter, along with 51 other Members of the House, criticizing Pres. Barack Obama and his Administration's decision to postpone a 2008 executive order requiring the mandatory use of E-Verify for government contractors. It was the fourth time the order was delayed - the third by the Obama Administration.

Senate Introduces Pass ID to Scale Back Real ID

With pressure coming from former Arizona governor and DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano, the Senate has introduced the Pass ID bill, which would loosen some of the requirements set forth by Real ID. Real ID was passed in response to 9-11 and required states to issue a more secure driver's license or state ID, but several states complained that it was too costly.

25 arrested, charged with harboring illegal immigrants

EL PASO -- Agents with the Border Enforcement Security Task Force (BEST) arrested 25 people who allegedly used the Gateway Hotel Downtown to harbor illegal immigrants.
