Social Security Number Fraudulent Use Notification Act of 2006

Public Description:  

The bill would require DHS to promptly notify any individual whose Social Security number the agency has determined: (1) has been used in a fraudulent or otherwise illegal manner; or (2) that the SSN in an employer’s wage records does not match Social Security Administration records.

To amend title II of the Social Security Act to require that the Commissioner of Social Security notify individuals of improper use of their social security account numbers.
