<b>2013: Voted for S. 744 (Schumer) in Senate Judiciary Committee to grant amnesty to illegal aliens</b><br>S. 744, the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act, a massive comprehensive amnesty bill introduced by the Gang of 8, would grant legal status and work permits to an estimated 11 million illegal aliens within 6 months of the enactment. The bill would allow illegal aliens to be eligible for green cards in as little as 5 years. The Committee passed the bill 13-5. The bill's main sponsor is Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).
