Half of Likely Voters Think Government Is Doing Too Little to Stop Illegal Immigration

A Rasmussen poll released January 11 found that almost half of likely voters surveyed think the government isn’t doing enough to prevent illegal immigration.

When asked “How serious a problem is illegal immigration in America today?,” two-out-of-three likely voters think illegal immigration is a serious problem.

When asked “Is the government doing too much or too little to stop illegal immigration? Or is the level of action about right?,” 48% of likely voters say the government is doing too little, 28% say too much, and 17% think the level of action is about right.

The percentage of likely voters who believe the government is doing too little to prevent illegal immigration is up 5% from the last time this question was polled in August 2018.
