Protect Family Values at the Border Act

H.R. 3605, the Protect Family Values at the Border Act, would require Border Patrol to consider the safety and family concerns in any action related to the repatriation or prosecution of individuals apprehended for immigration violations and provide related training for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and cooperating entity personnel. These requirements would prevent the timely removal of certain illegal border crossers allowing them to safely resettle in the United States.

Strengthen Employment And Seasonal Opportunities Now (SEASON) Act

H.R. 3918, the Strengthen Employment And Seasonal Opportunities Now (SEASON) Act, would exempt foreign workers who have received an H-2B guest-worker visa in any of the past three years from the current year's annual limits. This would potentially quadruple the number of H-2B visas issued each year from 65,000 to 260,000.

Recognizing the three-year anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals

EB-JOBS Act of 2015

H.R. 3370, the EB-JOBS Act of 2015, would issue a green card to any foreign citizen who has held an E-2 visa for the last 10 years while also increasing other investor-based visa programs. We estimate that this legislation would add 3.4 million green cards over 10 years.

H.R. 3436

H.R. 3436 would provide discretionary authority to immigration judges in the case of an illegal alien subject to removal, deportation, or exclusion and who is the parent of a U.S. citizen child if the judge determines that action to be against the child's best interests.

H.R. 2758

H.R.2758 would exempt a foreign worker who has held a H-2B non-agricultural guest worker visa over the previous three years from the current H-2B annual caps. This bill would likely triple the number of H-2B visas issued to foreign workers each year.

BARN Act

H.R. 2588, the Better Agriculture Resources Now (BARN) Act, would would expand the industries that can currently access the H-2A guest worker visa program and would eliminate the 50% rule that requires an employer to replace an H-2A guest worker with a qualified American worker if one applies and less than 50% of the work has been completed. The bill also shifts administration of the H-2A visa program from the Department of Labor to the Department of Agriculture.

STAPLE Act

H.R. 2181, the STAPLE Act, would issue green cards (exempt from existing numerical limitations thereby increasing legal immigration) to foreign citizens who graduate from a U.S. institution with a Ph.D. in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and are offered employment by a U.S. company. The bill would also exempt these same foreign workers from the H-1B visa numerical limits.
