USCIS has launched it's newest service, myE-Verify, in Arizona, Idaho, Colorado, Mississippi, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
According to The Beacon, the official USCIS blog, myE-Verify is a way to create a personal account to manage how a user's information is used in E-Verify.
Other features include Self Check, where any U.S. worker can confirm their employment eligibility, and Self Lock, where users can lock their Social Security numbers in E-Verify preventing fraudulent use in the system in the future.
Currently, more than half a million employers use E-Verify to ensure that new employees are authorized to work in the U.S. with almost 1,400 more employers joining every week.
While currently available in five states and Washington, D.C., USCIS has said that myE-Verify will be available nationwide in the future.
