This amendment would have stripped provisions that allow the Border Patrol to bypass regulations put in place by the Department of Interior and Department of Agriculture on federal lands within 100 miles of the border. The amendment's sponsor is Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz) and it failed 177-247 (19 June 2012).
