SupportThe bill would require the Social Security Administration to send a “no-match” notification letter to all employers that have been given a non-matching Social Security number by an employee, and to provide DHS with information regarding the non-matching employee.
To establish procedures for the issuance by the Commissioner of Social Security of "no match" letters to employers, and for the notification of the Secretary of Homeland Security regarding such letters.
Good Fences Make Good Neighbors Act of 2006

SupportThe bill would allow a border state to use a portion of PATRIOT Act grant funds for state and local domestic preparedness support to construct physical barriers near the border to deter illegal crossings.
To allow border States to use a portion of certain Department of Homeland Security grants to build physical barriers to deter illegal crossings.
Federal Contract Accountability Act
NumbersUSA's Position:
SupportThe bill would bar any employer who is a repeat violator of unlawful employment statutes or is convicted of a related crime from receiving Federal contracts, grants, or cooperative agreements for two years.
To require the debarment from Federal contracts, grants, or cooperative agreements of employers who hire unauthorized aliens, and for other purposes.
State Accountability in Licensing Act
NumbersUSA's Position:
SupportThe bill would prohibit a driver’s license from being considered as proof of identity for purposes of employment eligibility verification if the state that issued the license permits the use of an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number that is not a Social Security number in the application process.
